It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in The Lonely Seal. We traveled from Sydney to Boston to attend this inaugural event. Hammad, the festival director, was extremely communicative before, during and after the event. The filmmaker strategy advice offered by Hammad was invaluable. We feel that we have been taken into the fold and that our journey as filmmakers will be nurtured and supported into the future. It will be interesting to see how this poignant and touching festival, with its values of giving voice to the disenfranchised and supporting the underdog, will develop.
